Agenda items:
- Keep finishing up Science Fair projects at home. Many are very close to being completed.
- Social Studies Egypt reports are due Friday, Feb. 13th
- Math homework tonight: Pages 204-206 ”Area of a Triangle”
- Book orders are due Feb. 09, 2009
- Remember to bring back chocolate almond money and to try to sell now during the warmer weather.
- Due to behavior problems during Fine Arts – Drama, I will be monitoring the class at that time and there may have to be some consequences such as parents visiting to sit with their children during this time. Ms. Logeman teaches this class and is still having a hard time getting the class to show sufficient respect in order to do the fun activities she has planned. I have tried lectures, lines, missing gym, office referrals and time outs, but the behavior hasn’t changed that much while I am out of the room on my prep time. Today I asked the class to try to self-regulate and to not “feed off” of those who try to disrupt the class. They all agreed so we’ll see how next Tuesday’s prep time goes. It is hard for me because I need my prep time to do marking etc. and I can’t be monitoring their behavior all the time. It is too bad for those students who are always respectful to not get to do the fun projects because of the disrespect of a few of their classmates.

My thoughts on fine arts is that one person gets all hyper and then someone else catches on then the whole class gets all hyper then it turns up horrible. Thats my comment on fine arts now I will tell you my comment on the book you are reading to us, The Hunger Games. It is my book and I have read it so it is a really good book. I say so. Thats my comments on fine arts and The Hunger Games.

well for our problems in fine arts i guess i should tell more people to be quieter. if i am quiet then it is harder to work because i can hear the noise more but i guess it would be o.k.
Hi! I’m so happy that Holly brought the Hunger Games for the class to read! I like it so far I think it will be a really good book. I like that the book is different from a lot of other books and it’s kind of suspenseful. Thanks so Much Holly!
About Fine Arts I really think that we have to figure out how to make the behavior better. It is horrible for everybody else to suffer just because some people in the class are acting out. It really isn’t fair to anybody else in the class. I think it’s really only a few people who act out and they get the rest of the class going just because they want attention. And then everybody else joins in until the behavior pretty much explodes. I think everybody does love art and drama but I think that sometimes the projects and activities are a little too much for us to handle. It is only really bad when you aren’t here… So I’m not exactly sure what to do.

I like the book the hunger games and it’s really good so far because it’s interesting about how they run everything in each district. Also I don’t know how to make things any better in Art and Drama. Hi everyone though so that’s it and bye bye!!!

So far i think HUNGER GAMES is a pretty good book. I think it is going to be a book that everyone will want to read it again when we are done with the book. LOL, I Also think that the behavior in the class is kinda crazy but the last class was not as bad but i think that the noise is really not that good and is not really changing, I think that some of the girls talk but not as bad or as loud as the boys!!!!. Hi, how are you? I am good. I like the hunger games so far, do you? I think that it reminds me of the first City of Ember because they didnt have very much food either and they were all about to die and stuff. I am glad that we are reading it because i find it very interesting. I hope to read some more of it this week:)

hi, umm what to say what to say. howdy, oh choclate almonds my dad is probley gunna give em the money for the case he bought nd i will mostlikly bring it on tuesday, it was so easy selling choclates all i did was ask my dad and uncle if they wanted to buy almonds and they each bought a case of them, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha. and i think i am going to leave now so pip pip ta ta chero good night!!!
hi, with the behavior on thursday it was pretty bad people kept talking and being rude while she was reading.
i am really enjoying the hunger games book. i think that the 18 year old boy will get chosen and they will be the final two. they will have to fight with the 16 year old girl liking both boy and girl. my report is going well so far i am almost onto my 5th page. i got out quite a few books on saturday all of them are about africa. they have a lot there. Jordynn and i are done our science fair and we just need to practice presenting it in front of people. my weekend was pretty good my family went out on saturday and on sunday we stayed home. since mine and my sisters bed are so close we tried staying in bed for most of the morning. we did and ended up staying in bed till 10:30. i helped my sister with her backboard it looks really good.

I think that the book so far is very interesting and i think that it will be a very intense story and that i think that the boy and the girl have a crush on each other. and i think that they will both be the ones to get picked for the hunger games i think that mrs logoman is doing a great job with our art classes and i look forward to having her for the rest of the year. have a great day MR.P (((((WORD))))))
